Writing Sample: I wrote a magazine article for Tampa Bay Parenting Magazine to promote the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI). The campaign's goal was to depict the museum as more welcoming and enjoyable for adults, as it had a reputation for focusing too heavily on child guests.

Press Release: A press release is more than just an informational snippet; it's a chance to shape the reception of news. In this case, I announced a new museum exhibit by drawing supporting facts from internal attendance data. This exhibit ended up receiving coverage across most Tampa outlets and drew a great turnout of attendees.

Volunteer Outreach: As part of a comprehensive strategy for Unite to Fight Poverty, we emphasized advocacy at the local government level, recruiting ambassadors and equipping them with digital toolkits. Additionally, we created supporting digital content such as podcasts and promoted service work through food banks via traditional press promotion. This project was coordinated remotely and completed on a micro-budget.

Photography and Videography: Pepperoni Studios offers an affordable option for obtaining professional videos and photos as part of a brand refresh or campaign. I was able to shoot creative new photos for use on general admission and add-on tickets with a one-day turnaround time. This speed is crucial for social media content and other rapidly changing areas.

Strategic Communications & Marketing Plan: This comprehensive strategic communications and marketing plan was created for the partnership between Feeding Tampa Bay and the City of Tampa. Developed as part of my Master's degree program, this plan was also directly submitted to Feeding Tampa Bay.

Event Hosting: I managed all marketing and communication efforts for MOSI's "Science of the Cuban Sandwich" event, an 18+ addition aimed at attracting adult guests. Collaborating closely with MOSI's event team, I facilitated planning and vendor bookings. I also directly created much of the digital and physical content distributed. For more intricate visual elements, I coordinated with MOSI's in-house graphic designer and other artists. The event was a sell-out success, hosting over 250 guests. It garnered coverage from over 10 news outlets, including English and Spanish networks such as Fox13, Tampa Bay Times, NBC Universal Telemundo, 10 Tampa Bay, and News Channel 8.

Communication Strategy: Developed a PR and marketing strategy for a documentary film, followed by production and distribution.Coordinated theatrical distribution with film festivals aligned with the content. Negotiated deals with Amazon for streaming rights. Crafted a press release based on the strategy and distributed it to news stations. Participated in interviews and conducted online promotions for the film. Organized an "After Party" event to generate excitement and boost attendance on opening night.
The film packed the theater on opening night and experienced a successful run globally across the film festival circuit. It made the front page of the Lutz Laker newspaper and was featured in news outlets across the state.

Additionally, I maintain a private press mailing list for organizations requiring frequent updates. You can observe an example of how these methods can replace a traditional press release.

PSA Radio Spot: Mostly applicable to nonprofits, PSAs are a great way to garner radio coverage without paying for ad slots. Additionally, I leverage free resources from large tech companies, which are often willing to provide grants or ad space.

Website and Brand Messaging: was consulted to conduct a thorough review of the website and provide recommendations for addressing internal challenges at the nonprofit, Mother's Against Addiction. This project exemplifies a comprehensive overhaul of brand messaging and website design. Please disregard the initial wording in the document as I chose not to engage in that role.
